Google launches Gemini 4 Argon for developers and businesses
Google launched Gemini 4 Argon on October 13, making its flagship AI model available to developers and businesses worldwide. The company positions the model for complex, multi-step tasks in coding, finance, legal work, cybersecurity and science, with access through its developer tools and paid Gemini offerings.
At launch, the API was priced at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with increases scheduled after November 30. Google is also expanding a program for vetted cybersecurity defenders and offering higher Antigravity usage access to a group of scientists.
The important tests will be independent evaluations of agent reliability, total task cost and whether claimed productivity improvements hold across real software projects.
