Paradromics reports four years of stable BCI signals in sheep
Paradromics reported stable neural recordings and decoding from cortical electrode modules followed for more than four years in two sheep. The company says the implanted arrays did not migrate and that signal quality remained usable throughout the follow-up.
Long-term electrode stability is essential if implanted BCIs are to become practical medical devices. The sample comprises two animals, so the result is promising preclinical evidence, not four-year human safety or clinical-performance data.
