Nvidia more than doubles quarterly revenue

Nvidia reported revenue of $96.2 billion for its second fiscal quarter, up 106 percent from a year earlier and 18 percent from the previous quarter. Its data centre business generated $89.0 billion, an increase of 117 percent from a year earlier, as demand for AI infrastructure continued to expand.

The company forecast $108.0 billion in revenue for the next quarter, plus or minus 2 percent. That outlook excludes any data centre compute revenue from China. Nvidia also said its Vera Rubin platform was ramping into full production, with racks running at partners including Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The figures put most of Nvidia's growth inside the infrastructure needed to run AI. Its next-quarter forecast also shows how much demand it expects without a contribution from Chinese data centre compute sales.
