Chainlink launches Fulcrum for onchain financing
Chainlink launched Fulcrum, infrastructure intended to connect institutional tokenised assets with financing markets across public and private blockchains. The product is aimed at assets that remain difficult to borrow against once they sit inside a particular platform or ledger.
Fulcrum provides a common layer for collateral, pricing and settlement across otherwise separate systems. Chainlink frames the problem as one of fragmented liquidity: an asset can be tokenised and still remain economically idle if another venue cannot verify or use it without a custom integration.
Tokenisation by itself changes how ownership is represented. Financing infrastructure matters when those assets need to move, secure credit or generate yield across systems that do not share the same ledger.
