Solana launches open DvP settlement standard

Solana Foundation launched Solana DvP, an open-source delivery-versus-payment program designed for institutional settlement on Solana. The MIT-licensed system escrows the asset and payment legs and executes both in one atomic transaction, so either both transfers complete or neither does.

J.P. Morgan provided input on institutional securities-settlement practices, while the Foundation developed the infrastructure. The program supports SPL Token and Token-2022 assets and can use controls such as transfer hooks, pausable tokens and permanent delegates. The code has also undergone external security audits.

Solana DvP does not provide an order book, matching, KYC or off-chain payment settlement. Its significance is narrower: it standardises a piece of market plumbing that institutions have often implemented with bespoke contracts, making onchain delivery-versus-payment reusable across tokenised-asset workflows.
