Solana Web3.js 3.1 moves closer to the Kit toolchain

Solana's October 16 developer update announces Web3.js 3.1 and closer interoperability with Solana Kit, Wallet Adapter, Anchor, Codama and testing tools.

This is developer infrastructure rather than a new consensus feature. It affects how applications construct requests, connect wallets and test program interactions.

Compatibility work can remove friction during a toolchain transition. An SDK release still needs application-level migration testing, particularly where existing code relies on legacy interfaces or multiple packages represent the same transaction differently.
