US spot bitcoin ETFs post a $265 million outflow
US-listed spot bitcoin ETFs recorded a combined net outflow of roughly $265 million on 31 July, ending a two-session streak of net inflows that had run through the prior two trading days. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust led the withdrawals, with Fidelity's FBTC also losing assets over the session. Spot ether ETFs moved in the opposite direction, posting net inflows on the same day, with BlackRock's ETHB among the funds adding money even as its bitcoin counterpart shed it. The reversal came as bitcoin briefly dipped below $63,000 during the session before steadying as the new month opened.
A single day of outflows is a routine wobble rather than a trend; the more useful signal is whether the divergence between bitcoin and ether ETF flows persists into August or reverts within days.
