PECC Summit puts optical manufacturing beside AI network design

The Photonic-Enabled Cloud Computing Summit runs October 20–21 in Sunnyvale. This year's program expands to two days and emphasizes manufacturing, packaging and high-volume deployment alongside optical network architectures.

Those topics determine whether a promising interconnect can become reliable infrastructure. Bandwidth density is useful, but so are manufacturable connections, serviceable packages and a supply chain that can deliver consistent devices.

The event also lists work on co-packaged optics, multicore fiber and silicon-photonics specifications. A conference agenda establishes the deployment questions being discussed; it should not be mistaken for evidence that all announced specifications or products have already reached production.
