On deciding what to do

A lot of the time it does not even really matter what you are doing at first. What matters is that you keep going.

The best metaphor I know is surfing. Sometimes there is no wind. Sometimes it is raining. Sometimes the water is so packed that people front-run you. But you should still be in the water.

That does not mean paddling for every wave. By doing things over and over again, your gut will tell you which wave to take. You will learn what works. But for that, you need repetition.

If you are waiting on a sunbed on the beach, by the time you get in, the wave is already gone. But once you catch one and get into the pocket, the wave starts carrying you.

Don't think about it too much. Just follow your gut.
