Google releases Gemini 3.7 Flash for coding agents

Google released Gemini 3.7 Flash, a coding- and agent-focused model succeeding Gemini 3.6 Flash, which had shipped only three weeks earlier. The new model posts gains on coding benchmarks, scoring 43.6 percent on FrontierCode 1.1 Main against 34.4 percent for its predecessor, and 65.3 percent on DeepSWE v1.1 against 49 percent.

Introductory pricing is set at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through the end of 2026, half of what 3.6 Flash charged, before rising to $1.50 and $7.50 respectively on 1 January 2027. Gemini 3.7 Flash has replaced 3.6 Flash in the model picker across Android, iOS, web and macOS, and now powers Google's Gemini Spark personal agent.

Cutting the price of a flagship coding model in half, even temporarily, puts pressure on rival agent tooling that still bills by the token.
