OpenAI moves the Decisions API into general availability
OpenAI's October 22 changelog moves the Decisions API into general availability with GPT-6 Luna. The update adds structured JSON input, images in question instructions and support for up to 400 questions per request.
The interface is aimed at decisions rather than ordinary prose generation. That can make model output easier to consume in software, but a probability is useful only if its meaning and calibration hold for the actual task.
Batch size changes throughput. It does not establish that a system can safely delegate a consequential decision without checking error rates and the cost of getting it wrong.
