Radisys brings voice AI into telecom networks
Radisys launched its V.AI ecosystem, bringing voice and speech technologies from ElevenLabs, Hiya, ReadSpeaker, Sensory and Speechmatics into its Engage Digital Platform. The offering targets telecom operators building services for consumers and businesses.
Operators can use ready-made applications or customise them through V.AI Studio, which provides software development kits, scripting tools and a visual designer. Proposed uses include live translation, call screening, fraud protection and assistants that work before, during or after a call.
The platform supports deployment within an operator's own infrastructure or in public clouds. Radisys says its network integration also allows services to use capabilities such as identity, location and quality-of-service controls, including experiences accessible without a separate application.
Putting speech AI inside communications infrastructure could extend its reach beyond smartphone apps. Operators still need to turn those capabilities into services customers find useful enough to adopt.
