Apple releases Siri AI in English beta

Apple released Siri AI in English beta alongside its new operating systems, extending the assistant's ability to follow conversations and act on personal information. Apple says it can draw on messages, emails and photos to answer contextual requests, understand what appears onscreen, and carry out tasks such as drafting an email or editing and sharing a photograph.

The release requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence. Availability remains uneven: Siri AI is not initially available in the European Union on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch, while the Mac release is outside that restriction. It is also unavailable in China.

Apple plans to add French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish next month. The beta therefore begins with a narrower language and regional footprint than the broader operating-system rollout.
