Aztec separates private-data protection from full quantum migration
Aztec's October post-quantum roadmap distinguishes protecting private data against future decryption from migrating every cryptographic component in the network. The latter includes account authentication, validator signatures, proving systems and dependencies on Ethereum.
The distinction matters for privacy systems. An attacker can retain ciphertext long before a cryptographically capable quantum computer exists. Changing encryption later would not retroactively protect copies already collected.
Aztec describes present protections and further work toward a full migration. Those are narrower claims than saying the entire network is already quantum-proof. Library hardening, cryptographic selection and integration each have their own milestones.
