Ethereum postpones Glamsterdam on Hoodi

The Ethereum Foundation postponed Glamsterdam on Hoodi on October 22. Developers want more time to investigate interactions between EIP-8037 and mainnet smart contracts. No replacement activation date has been set.

The change also removes the gas-limit increase to 200 million that had been scheduled for the same epoch. It changes a future upgrade configuration; it does not roll back the testnet's existing chain history.

Hoodi operators need client releases and settings that reflect the postponement. The notice concerns the testnet and does not establish a mainnet activation date or require action from ordinary ETH holders.
