The Brain and the Chip meeting focuses on intracortical interfaces

The Brain and the Chip congress runs October 26–28 in San Juan, Alicante. Its focus includes intracortical recording, high-channel-count interfaces, sensory feedback and applications aimed at restoring communication, movement or vision.

The mix of clinicians, engineers and researchers reflects how many parts must work together in a useful BCI. Recording more channels is only one of them; placement, stable interpretation, feedback and the user's actual task matter too.

A conference program signals the questions the field is working on. It should not be treated as a collection of proven clinical outcomes before the underlying studies and their limits are examined.
