Bitcoin ETFs give back $225 million
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly $225 million of outflows today, interrupting a run that included $75.7 million of net inflows in the week ending July 17, the second consecutive positive week at that point.
Year to date the funds remain at a net outflow of between $5.2 and $5.4 billion. Assets under management have fallen from a peak near $150 billion in autumn 2025 to about $74 billion.
Ethereum ETFs have moved in the other direction, taking about $196.4 million in net inflows between July 14 and July 21.
Today was also the OCC's deadline for public comment on stablecoin rules under the GENIUS Act.
The decline in assets is larger than cumulative outflows account for, meaning most of it reflects price rather than redemptions.
