Ripple's Latin America survey finds a stablecoin skills gap

Ripple's October survey of finance leaders in Mexico and Brazil finds strong interest in stablecoin payments alongside practical barriers. Among the 160 respondents, 69% reported using or planning to use stablecoins for payments within two years.

The same research identifies regulatory complexity and missing technical skills as obstacles. Many respondents prefer working with a provider rather than building every component themselves.

These are survey responses, so adoption intentions should not be counted as completed payment volume. The useful signal is the gap between demand and implementation: a faster settlement asset still needs compliant access, local currency conversion and a workflow a business can operate.
