Tether's mining toolkit gains industry backing
Tether announced broader backing for its Mining Development Kit on October 24. Fifteen companies across mining, ASIC manufacturing and pools are working around a shared layer intended to make mining infrastructure more interoperable.
Mining operations have to coordinate machines, power conditions and software from different vendors. A common interface could reduce the amount of custom integration required to monitor and automate those systems.
Industry support is an early adoption signal, not a measured reduction in operating costs. The practical tests are whether implementations work across vendors and whether operators can use the shared layer without giving up control of their sites.
