QSolid takes stock of Germany's quantum-system development
Germany's QSolid consortium is presenting its results at a closing event in Jülich on October 27–29. The project brings together 26 research institutions, companies and startups, with a budget above €75 million over nearly five years.
The reported output includes tested quantum-computer prototypes accessible through the cloud and expertise transferred into products and services. The work spans a broader engineering ecosystem than the processor alone.
This is a program-level review rather than a single performance benchmark. Its long-term value will depend on whether the prototypes, components and operating knowledge continue to support reliable systems after the original project finishes.
