ChatGPT introduces locked conversations

OpenAI introduced locked chats on October 20. The feature hides selected conversations from regular history, pinned chats and search, with access through a PIN or supported device authentication.

The lock changes visibility inside the account. Retention and model-improvement settings stay the same. Those distinctions matter when deciding what information to put into a conversation.
