Pasqal's QoolQit contest emphasizes reproducible analog programs

Pasqal's QoolQit contest closes on October 18. The program asks participants to reproduce research, investigate an industrial problem or contribute to its open-source Python library for analog quantum programming.

QoolQit separates a dimensionless program description from hardware-specific parameters used to implement it on neutral-atom devices. Submissions include runnable notebooks and the exact library version, with selected projects receiving compute credits.

The emphasis on reproducibility is useful. A plausible result on an emulator and a deployable hardware sequence answer different questions, and recording the software and device assumptions makes that distinction easier for others to inspect.
