Quantinuum reports lower logical memory error on Helios

Quantinuum reported a new error-correction result on October 19. The company says Helios achieved logical memory fidelity of 99.9995%, corresponding to roughly five uncorrectable errors per million operations in the reported memory test.

Its experiments use different code distances and also examine protected gate operations. Larger codes reduce errors while consuming more physical qubits, making resource efficiency part of the comparison.

The memory figure should not be read as a completed million-operation algorithm with no errors. It is a vendor-reported result for a defined error-correction workload, with full computational reliability depending on gates, decoding and the complete program.
